It doesn’t matter what direction you are headed. You could be forming a multi-million dollar corporation that will revolutionize the availability of clean water throughout the world (I recently had the opportunity to meet someone moving successfully in this direction, and I was very impressed). You could be a writer, or recording artist like Tamara Taylor, someone I greatly admire and appreciate in my sphere of inspirational people.
You could be a teen with an idea, or even just the desire to build your own world. No matter who you are, or what your plans are, you will always be the CEO of your world. To bring success in everything you do you must have the right resources.
Surround yourself with the people who share common beliefs and focus on building success. Some may think the reason is to “get your foot in the door”, or as I call it, “ride on someone elses wave”, but that is not the point.
Surround yourself with success. Think of those people as the raw materials you need to grow. If you had a seed, and your dream or vision is a seed to success, where would you plant it? Would you pick barren land with no water? Or, would you pick a prosperous, enriched place that is proven to promote growth?
As a entrepreneur, and as an individual, you too need the right “raw materials” to help you grow. There are many ways you can surround yourself with success.
- Find a mentor
- Attend local meetings of Toastmaster, Special Interest Groups
- Arrange time to sit in front of a book or DVD related to your interest
- Take online classes
- Join organizations that focus on success
This is your life, and no one is going to live it for you. It’s up to you to choose the right focus, refine your dream, plan your steps, and surround yourself with the proper resources that will promote growth and success. Be the CEO of your lifetime.
