This has been an incredible day, and it’s not yet the noon hour. What a wonderful feeling it is to feel that way, and what an inspiration it is to those around us. So what is the secret to having these “destined to be a success” kind of days? Is it having the right opportunities, or knowing the right people? Oh sure, that helps, but what surrounds you is not the key.
You do need the key. You could surround yourself with a mansion, a Rolls Royce, and a safe deposit box with just about anything you can imagine inside that vault. All you need is the key.
As I finished writing one article, already spring-boarding into the next, I walked through my home-based office thinking about a call scheduled today with one of my favorite mentors I had met at CEO-Space. I have been looking forward to this call for over a week, and I was already dialoging the phone call!
“How’s your day, Estee?”, to which I replied, “Fantastic, this day was destined to be a success”. I could feel the smile across the phone line. “Wow, sounds great. How’s that coming about?”, she asks. “Well, I knew we had this call scheduled, and I knew that I would benefit greatly.” I could have stopped right there, opened my hand in front of me, and discovered that I already held the key to my success.
In my earlier article, Surround Yourself With Success, I talked about choosing the right conditions for building your dream. It’s easy, when we’re in a place where we feel challenged, to look around us and say, “Look at this, I’ve got a forest of trees to clear, how am going to get through this?”. Let’s be realistic. You can see the forest, but you are standing in one place. You have two feet planted in a space about one square foot. Clear that space, and then take your next step. Clear away any thoughts that pull you away from saying, “This day is destined to be a success”.
We all have the ability to direct our energies in a chosen direction. If you send your attention into problems and barriers, guess what? If you dream success, and when you get UP in the morning you step UP into a day that is already filled with successful outcomes, guess what? Like attracts like, simple enough.
Open your hand, and look at that key. You have the key to your own success, one square foot at a time. Start with the right outlook and focus, and practice the art of choosing your direction. This day is destined to be a success!
